Daily catchups-braggups with my sis on G.C. each would try to outdo-update the other on the interesting-exciting things we have been doing, going (walks) seeing. It became a bit of a game really. we are10 years apart but have a lot of similar interests. eg. scenery/photography-crafts-gardening-insects etc. I am always keen to see what she is going to come up with next. I have also spent many hours on crocheting in preparedness for Mothers Day. Offering gift wrap & card along with contactless tracked courier to destination especially for Mother’s Day.( with distance and the current situation-many may not necessarily be able to visit Mothers) I have made Wraps/Shawls-Cowls/Mitts sets etc.. Never a dull moment and no depression or idle hands here :-)
We have done a lot of crafts and things to try and keep busy. We made a wreath for ANZAC day out of egg cartons. It was a lovely experience making it and talking about why we celebrate ANZAC day in NZ.
We’ve achieved a master bedroom overhaul. It became a bit of a dumping ground and wasn’t a place for r&r at the end of the day. This prize would be the icing on the cake
I may have been teaching my cat to take selfies…photo on Facebook ;)
I’ve been doing lots of delish baking to satisfy the sweet tooth!
I’ve baked for the first time in years as I’ve had the time to enjoy doing it 😊
Im an essential worker so Im still working. When Im finished work I play with my granddaughter at home. I’ve also caught up on some sewing and trying new recipes
I’ve been learning to sew, in many forms. I created something clothing, while also more creatively creating an art piece made from scraps. Exploring embroidery and listening to many, many, many, many podcasts!
I have been actually cooking dinner instead of some last minute cobbled together food, takeaways or My Food Bag – has been quite fun and also used up a lot of things out of the freezers, fridges and pantry (and managed to actually clean them all out too and re-organise – yay!)
Spending time with my husband
I have discovered that I love drawing NZ native birds, and coloring them in, it has given me such a happy feeling putting them onto paper and then I can admire them at a later time. This artwork has given me positive thoughts and I am able to share them with family and friends.
Ooh this is seriously SO GOOD! Well I am drinking MORE, spending LESS, and learning a little bit of Spanish along the way… muchas gracias! 🙋🏼♀️🤩👌🏼
I’ve really been enjoying using my bubble as taste testers for an enormous list of recipes I’ve been wanting to try.. Not sure they see this as positive after 4 weeks of treat eating !
I have been enjoying some gardening in this gorgeous weather ☀️
I made a beautiful scrap book for my 18 month old filled with photos and memories of the first year of her life, such a fun project and something she will have forever x
I have been studying leadership and am undertaking a continuity plan for my workplace so that any further disruption is minimised. I have been enjoying the sunshine and looking forward to harvesting more of our fruit. I am so proud of my children for coping well with online learning too.
I have been very productive my husband and I learnt to do brick laying. We made a gorgeous edge for my rose garden. It was hard work but satisfying when completed. We learnt this by watching a YouTube video. This has been something I wanted to do for about 6 years.
I’ve loved trying new recipes and going for long walks and doing some really hard jigsaw puzzles! I’ve learnt that I love being at home with my family.
I’ve been baking to use up the apples and glut of feijoas from my little urban garden. I tried to get a sourdough starter started, but think I overfed it, easy to do!
Getting outside with the kids daily for a walk. Fresh air and sunshine has been key for us!
