The Foxes Den LINEN CARE | How to care for your Bed Linen

LINEN CARE

Taking care of your French Flax Linen:

.
Always wash your linen bedding on your machine’s gentle cycle. And select the water level to as high as possible. Your Linen needs to move freely so try not over crowd the washing machine. This can cause twisting and pull the linen fabric out of shape.

.
Its best to wash Flax Linen in the machine by its self, but if you need to include other items in the washing load, insure its similar in colour and fabric texture.
Coloured or dyed Linen is best to be washed in cool or lukewarm temperatures – never in cold or very hot. High temperature will fade the colour. White Linen can withstand very hot water, up to 70 degs.

.
We recommend using a Natural, chemical Free Laundry detergent for washing to protect the Linens natural fibres. We sell a couple of different brands online that are perfect for Natural Flax Linen. Do not ever use Bleach ( even on White Linen)  or fabric softener on flax Linen as they will damage the fibres.
.
Our linen fabric has been prewashed during production; In order to keep Linen in good condition it’s not recommend to use a tumble dryer as overtime it can damage the linen, But it can be put in the dryer on a low heat and delicate setting.

Line dry is best. To minimize creasing, remove while it is still slightly damp.
.
Linen is a natural fibre that will naturally fade in direct sunlight, its best to dry your coloured linen out of direct sunlight. White Linen will brighten and stains can lift when left in the Sun.

.
All linen can be ironed, if you enjoy super crisp bed Linen finish, pure Linen will give the best results. it’s recommended to iron your linen while slightly damp. Always use the Linen setting on your iron (215 - 240 deg)

.

Dry Cleaning is not recommended for 100% Linen. Linen Fabric is the worlds oldest natural fibre, This means that linens have been around long before any dry cleaners and have been successfully cared for.
