Egyptian cotton from the Nile Delta is the benchmark for luxury cotton sheeting — extra-long staple fibres approximately 34mm in length, handpicked to preserve their integrity, woven in one of Egypt’s oldest fabric mills into a 500 thread count cloth with a silky lustre that holds its quality wash after wash. That cloth is then sent to New Zealand where it is sewn into finished sheets. The result is a fitted sheet that feels immediately different from anything woven from shorter-staple cotton: smoother, cooler, and with a surface that only improves with time.
