Obsidian is a deep, near-black with cool undertones, not the flat black of painted surfaces, but the particular darkness of volcanic glass, of a tone that seems to hold depth rather than simply absorb light. In short-pile cotton velvet, that quality intensifies: the pile shifts between charcoal and true black depending on the angle, always composed, always deliberate. The elongated lumbar silhouette makes it the natural foundational piece for layering on a bed or adding a refined accent to a sofa.
