The lumbar cushion is the most architectural of forms — low, horizontal, deliberate. The Addi in 65 × 40cm earns its place at the base of a sofa or across the foot of a made bed not through colour alone, but through the depth of its surface. Hand-loomed by artisans in India on traditional looms, its bold check is built thread by thread from hand-spun wool and tussar silk — two fibres that hold warmth differently, catch light differently, and together produce a textile that no machine can replicate.
Tussar is a wild silk, harvested from forest cocoons rather than cultivated racks. Its sheen is muted and irregular — more honest than commercial silk, more interesting with age. The wool grounds it: earthy, warm, slightly nubbled. In the browns and charcoals of this colourway, the combination reads like something found rather than chosen — a piece that looks as though it has always been there.
The patina of this cushion deepens with use. As the fibres relax and soften, the surface becomes more itself. This is not a cushion that fades — it settles into the room.

- Store folded in a breathable cotton bag away from moisture
