Addi | Wool & Silk Throw

The throw that changes the temperature of a room.

Not warmth measured in tog ratings or fill weights — but the kind of warmth that is visual before it is physical. Draped across the arm of a sofa or folded at the foot of a bed, the Addi throw shifts the register of a room toward something slower, more considered. Its bold check is not printed. It is woven — built on traditional looms by artisans in India, thread by thread, from hand-spun wool and tussar silk.

At 140 × 180cm, it is generous enough to wrap around the shoulders on a winter evening, and light enough to leave folded as a purely visual object through the warmer months. The wool provides the body; the tussar silk — a wild silk harvested from forest cocoons rather than cultivated racks — gives the surface its characteristic uneven lustre. The two fibres together produce a textile that reads differently in morning light than in lamplight, and differently again once it has been used and washed and lived with.

This patina is the point. The Addi throw does not peak on arrival. It becomes more itself over time — softer, more settled, more at home in the room it inhabits.

Care Instructions

• Dry clean recommended to preserve the integrity of the hand-spun fibres and silk lustre
• If hand washing, use cold water with a gentle wool wash — do not wring or tumble dry
• Lay flat to dry in shade; avoid prolonged direct sunlight to protect natural dye tones
• Store folded in a breathable cotton bag away from moisture
