Bronze is the warm, burnished gold brown that sits between amber and copper, the colour of late afternoon light on metal, of aged wood and warm stone. In this throw, it arrives in a bold check design hand loomed by artisans in India using traditional looms and hand spun wool and tussar silk. The tussar silk is the element that makes this throw different from a wool throw: it gives the surface a natural lustre that shifts in different light, and an uneven texture that is the direct result of the hand spinning process. No two threads are identical, and the slight variation in thickness is what gives the cloth its depth and character. The wool provides warmth and structure; the silk provides sheen and softness. Together they produce a throw that improves over time as the fabric relaxes and softens with use.
