The same bold check design and hand-loomed wool and tussar silk construction as the Bronze throw, in the narrow lumbar format that adds a horizontal line and a sense of considered layering. Hand-woven by artisans using traditional looms and hand-spun yarn, the tussar silk gives the surface a natural lustre that shifts in different light and an uneven texture that is the direct result of the hand-spinning process — no two threads are identical, and the slight variation in thickness is what gives the cloth its depth and character. The wool provides warmth and structure; the silk provides sheen and softness. The plain cotton reverse gives it a clean, practical finish. This beautiful patina improves over time as the fabric relaxes and softens with use.
