The Fiesole collection is a body of bedding woven from 100% extra-long staple cotton at 1000 thread count, handcrafted in Italy using finishing techniques that have been refined over generations.

Extra-long staple cotton is the finest grade available: the fibres are longer, finer, and more uniform than standard cotton, producing a yarn that can be spun to a fineness that most mills cannot achieve. At 1000 thread count, the sateen weave that results is not merely smooth — it is luminous. It catches light the way polished stone does. It drapes with a liquid weight that holds its shape through the night and deepens in quality with every wash.

The Fiesole is finished with hemstitch detail — a row of drawn-thread work along the flat sheet border, duvet cover, and pillowcase hems that is one of the oldest and most exacting forms of Italian textile craft. The duvet cover carry a 15cm flange, giving each piece a structured, architectural edge that frames the bed with quiet authority. Fitted sheets are cut with a deep 45cm elastic pocket to hold on the most substantial mattresses without pulling. Each piece is made to order in Italy and arrives in 2–3 weeks — a lead time that is not an inconvenience but a signal: this is not a product that exists in a warehouse. It is made for you.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash warm (40°C) — gentle cycle
• Do not bleach — preserves the sateen lustre and hemstitch integrity
• Tumble dry low, or line dry in shade
• Warm iron on reverse if desired — the sateen surface responds beautifully to light pressing and will deepen in sheen over time
• Wash before first use to activate the full softness and luminosity of the weave
• Quality improves with every wash — this is bedding designed to be kept
