Jade is a green that carries its own particular quality — neither warm nor cold, but the particular mid-toned green of the stone: slightly grey, slightly translucent in the way that only certain greens are, with a depth that changes in different light. It is a colour that works with warm neutrals (where it reads as a cool counterpoint), with other greens (where it adds tonal complexity), and with white and natural linen (where it becomes the defining element of the arrangement). In this bolster cushion, it arrives in a subtle hand block printed stripe on 100% pure linen — a design that adds pattern without competing with the colour, and that carries the particular quality of something made by hand: slight variations in the print, small irregularities in the repeat, the mark of a skilled artisan rather than a machine.

The piped edge gives the bolster a clean, considered finish. The plush feather insert is included. At 18 × 60cm, this is the narrow lumbar format — the shape that adds a horizontal line and a sense of considered layering. Each piece is individually printed and will vary slightly — this is the nature and the value of the hand block printing process, not a flaw.
