Woven from 100% extra-long staple cotton at 300 thread count in a sateen weave, the fabric has a smooth, luminous surface with a hotel-weight drape that holds its shape through the night and returns to form each morning. The defining detail is the single-line embroidery stitch along the flat sheet cuff and pillowcase hem — a quiet nod to the Italian linen tradition of the 1920s, when this style of restrained embellishment became the signature of the finest hotel rooms in Europe. A century on, it remains the most considered way to finish a sheet: present enough to be noticed, understated enough to disappear into the room.

The border is finished with sateen piping that matches the background colour — a tonal detail that adds structure without contrast. Care Instructions

• Machine wash warm (40°C) — gentle cycle
• Do not bleach — preserves the sateen lustre and embroidery integrity
• Tumble dry low, or line dry in shade
• Warm iron on reverse if desired — the sateen surface responds beautifully to light pressing
• Wash separately before first use to activate the full softness of the weave
