There is a particular comfort in bedding that has been thought through rather than simply made. The Lumière Duvet Cover in Tobacco is that kind of object. Woven from a 59% linen, 41% cotton blend at 236 GSM — a medium weight that drapes with substance without ever feeling heavy — it brings together the best qualities of both fibres in a single cloth. The linen contributes its characteristic breathability, its natural temperature regulation, and the earthy, lived-in texture that only flax can produce. The cotton contributes immediate softness and a suppleness that softens the linen's tendency to crease. The result is a fabric that feels considered from the first night and improves with every wash.

Tobacco is a colour with depth and history. A warm, rich brown with amber and golden undertones — the colour of cured leaf, of aged leather, of afternoon light through a glass of whisky. In a bedroom it brings a particular kind of warmth that is neither heavy nor dark, but grounded and enveloping. Against white walls it reads as a considered accent; against natural linen or oatmeal it creates a layered, tonal palette that feels entirely resolved; against timber or rattan it becomes part of the material story of the room. The linen-cotton blend gives the Tobacco colourway a surface variation that shifts between amber-brown and something closer to raw sienna depending on the light and the drape of the cloth. The cover is cut from extra-wide fabric so there is no centre seam, giving the made bed a single, uninterrupted calm. Button closure at the base.
