SUPIMA® is not a marketing term — it is a certification. Only cotton grown from Gossypium barbadense plants in the American west and southwest qualifies, and only the extra-long staple fibres that meet strict length and strength standards carry the name. Less than one percent of the world’s cotton crop is SUPIMA®. The Notte di Lusso collection is woven from it at 400 thread count in a percale weave: a one-over-one construction that produces a matte, smooth, breathable surface with a firm hand feel and a crispness that softens incrementally with every wash without ever losing its composure.

The cotton is grown in the USA and then travels to Tuscany, where each piece is cut and sewn by hand in the Italian tradition. The defining detail is a 1.5cm sateen border in deep navy — almost indigo — traced along the edge of the flat sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcases, with a fine embroidery line running alongside it. The flat sheet returns the border to the reverse side. The duvet cover is finished with a knife edge. The pillowcases carry a 4cm flange. Nothing is decorative for its own sake: every detail is structural, considered, and quietly confident in the way that only Italian craft can be.

Each piece is made to order in Italy and arrives in 2–3 weeks. Individual pieces available: flat sheet, fitted sheet, duvet cover, Oxford pillowcases, Lodge (king) pillowcases, and Euro pillowcases.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash warm (40°C) — gentle cycle
• Do not bleach — preserves the percale weave and contrast border integrity
• Tumble dry low, or line dry in shade
• Warm iron on reverse if desired — percale responds beautifully to pressing and holds its crispness
• Wash before first use to activate the full softness of the SUPIMA® weave
• Softens and improves with every wash — this is bedding designed to be kept
