There is a particular quality to linen-cotton that neither fabric achieves alone. The Union Hemstitch Duvet Cover Set is woven from a 55% linen and 45% cotton blend — a ratio that gives the fabric linen's airy breathability and natural texture while the cotton softens the hand feel and smooths the drape. It is then piece-dyed and stonewashed: a process that works the fabric before it ever reaches your bed, breaking down the fibres into a surface that is already soft, already settled, already carrying the particular ease of something that has been lived in. From the first night, it feels like it has always been there.

The hemstitch detail runs along the duvet edge and pillowcase hem — a row of drawn-thread work that is one of the oldest forms of textile embellishment, and one of the most quietly beautiful. In Dove, it reads as a shadow line against the fabric: present in certain light, invisible in others. No ironing required. The relaxed, slightly rumpled surface of stonewashed linen-cotton is the point — a bed that looks considered precisely because it doesn't look arranged.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash — normal cycle, cold or warm
• Do not bleach — preserves the piece-dyed colour and hemstitch integrity
• Line dry in shade or tumble dry on low
• Touch-up iron optional — the stonewashed surface is designed to be worn without pressing
• Softens further with every wash
