There is a particular pleasure in a cushion that earns its place on the bed. Not decorative in the throwaway sense, but considered — something that changes the quality of a room simply by being in it. The Velvet Cushion in Mink is that piece. Its short-pile cotton velvet has a directional nap that shifts from warm taupe to something closer to burnished bronze depending on how the light falls across it, and how a hand has last moved through it. It is the kind of surface you reach for without thinking.

The Mink colourway sits at the warmer end of the neutral spectrum — earthy without being heavy, grounded without being dark. Against white linen, it reads as depth. Against oatmeal or sage, it disappears into the composition in the best possible way. Paired with warm timber, rattan, or aged brass, it simply belongs.

Each cushion is individually crafted to order in our New Zealand studio, filled with a plump feather insert, and finished with a concealed zip. Please allow 2–3 weeks from order to dispatch — a window that exists because we will not rush it.
